It’s that time of year…

Hi, Final Draft friends!

Summer is winding down here at DRF (where has the time gone?) and we’re ramping up for the school year—meaning more awesome student founders, more Investment Partners, and some new friends on the team here at HQ.

At DRF, the sky’s the limit: we’ve got a powerful community of friends and partners and our famous can-do spirit.

We’re excited to expand the fold, and hope you are too. Joining the DRF family leads to a world of opportunities. But don’t just take our word for it —78% of our alumni become founders or VCs after graduation, and nearly all of the rest are operators at incredible tech companies. See below for four awesome ways to get involved with DRF in the 2024-2025 school year. We hope you’ll join us to learn the ropes of running a fund and backing the best student founders out there.

Builders, Problem Solvers, and Tinkerers: Head of Product and Engineering Internship

DRF is seeking an active, full-time student to join our Engineering team as a Product & Engineering Partner. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying problems-to-solve for DRF founders and building software to solve those problems in order to better serve student entrepreneurs and partners at DRF. You will work closely with the team to bring ideas to life and contribute to the development of real-world products that help founders. If you’re hoping to join a startup after graduation and want reps, a network, and exposure, this role is for you. More info & application here.

Drive our Content Footprint: Head of Creative Internship

We’re looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial student who can help us build a cohesive and impactful digital presence. We want someone who can dream up the next killer social strategy and newsletter posts, all while making sure the trains run on time—and getting the word out! You’ll partner closely with our Head of Design to show the world what the DRF fam is really like from the inside out. This is a part-time internship opportunity that offers flexible hours and the chance to work with a dynamic team. We will be providing college credit for the opportunity for institutions that allow it. More info on the role & application here.

Own our Visual Identity: Head of Design Internship

We’re looking for a motivated, design-loving student to help DRF Co and DRF founders build our visual identity. We want someone who is excited about refreshing a brand that’s been in the making for a decade plus! This is a part-time internship opportunity that offers flexible hours and the chance to work with a dynamic team (in particular you’ll work closely with our Head of Creative). We will be providing college credit for the opportunity for institutions that allow it. More info on the role & application here.

And last, but certainly not least: Dorm Room Fund Investment Partner

Student founders are building the future, and we’re looking for curious, confident, and driven students to join our team to find and back them. DRF is the first and only program to give students real decision making power (an opportunity most don’t get until many years into a successful VC career). Your average scout program this is not. We believe that you learn the most from the people around you. At DRF, you are surrounded by brilliant, diverse peers ready to learn from you and share their own interests, ideas, and expertise. You’ll build deep and long-lasting relationships with your most talented peers from across the country— well outside your university bubble. Our ever-growing community of alumni, founders, and investors is made up of some of the best in the world. As an investment partner, you’ll work with leading experts in fields to inform your investment decisions, and enhance your perspectives on emerging markets, products, and emerging technologies. Once you’re part of the family, you’re DRF for life: alumni hire, invest in, and consult with members of this community long after they graduate.

Apps are now open, and we’ll start our formal review process in September (low key so soon). The early bird gets the worm!
